Very Latest Scanning Technology

Comcity Tech employs the very latest up-to-the-minute scanning technology and software.  Our production scanners (Kodak, Fujitsu and Oce) are capable of scanning from A7 (business cards) to A0 format (large maps and architectural drawings), and use the latest scanning software – including OCR, ICR and OMR. 

OCR, ICR and OMR Technology

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software enables instant and accurate capture of all printed text as well as barcode recognition (3 of 9, 3 from 7, 128 etc). ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) enables accurate capture of handwritten characters and OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) recognises tick boxes and is ideal for surveys or questionnaires.
